Closed Albion Pub Leeds
Picture of closed Albion Pub Leeds.
This is the long closed public house The Albion on Armley Road, Leeds. The rather nice looking old brick pub has been closed for some years now. But some work is being carried on at the premises so hopefully better days are close at hand.
Its an old Tetleys pub according to the sign, but an older sign has been revealed being Warrington and Burton Ales. The two brewers, Tetley's of Leeds and Walkers of Warrington merged in 1960 to form Tetley Walker later becoming Allied Breweries. The Tetley brewery here in Leeds was closed down by the more recent owner Carlsberg.
This leaves Leeds Brewery founded in 2007 with the distinction of being Leeds largest brewer.
