Lion - Leeds Town Hall, The Headrow, Leeds
This stone lion is one of 2 pairs of lions outside the front of Leeds Town Hall. These were sculpted from portland stone by William Day Keyworth of London.
Today they are still quite magnificent, however as you can see the weather is having some effect on them.
The victorians really liked lions on or near their buildings.
