I never thought that I would see a Chelsea pensioner here in Leeds, but there was one at the recent Remembrance Sunday memorial service and parade.
A Chelsea pensioner is an in-pensioner at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, a retirement home and nursing home for former members of the British Army located in Chelsea, London. Until recently all pensioners were men but recently 2 ladies have joined the ranks at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
