Hawthorn Berries
Picture of Hawthorn Berries at Gotts Park in Armley, Leeds.
The fruit of the Hawthorn, the berries in the above photo, ripens to a deep red by the autumn when many birds feed off them, these include blackbirds, the various varieties of thrush, starlings, greenfinches and many others.
I have been working on a replacement on wordpress of Leeds daily photo, it is now up and running, but needs a little more work.
